The [Company] Engineering and Environmental Services Division is seeking a business development manager for its Intermountain West Business Unit. This position will primarily focus on the upstream and mid-stream oil and gas markets in the area. Other [Company] service areas being marketed include environmental compliance, environmental remediation, groundwater remediation, industrial hygiene, site development, mining and water/wastewater. In addition to these services, the business development manager is expected to represent “One[Company] ” and all of our services to clients and prospects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead sales activities associated with the acquisition of new clients
Maintain and build key client relationships, leading to increases in regional sales
Actively prospect and lead associated business development activities to create new revenue opportunities
Develop and implement capture plans for specific key accounts and projects
Provide sales goal tracking and reporting. Significant sales activity will be expected
Travel throughout the business unit to develop and/or maintain long-term, on-going business relationships with clients and prospects. The region includes Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota
Deliver sales presentations to key clients and prospects in conjunction with project managers and branch managers
Assist in the preparation of proposals
Secure signed contracts from new and existing clients consistent with [Company] policy
Represent company at networking and trade association meetings
Monitor and evaluate the activities of the competition


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in scientific, engineering or marketing discipline
Minimum of five years of environmental and/or engineering sales
Proven track record of sales success and client relationship development in the Rocky Mountain region
Experience in the upstream and mid-stream oil and gas, transportation, industrial development, and mining markets will be highly desirable
Ability to work well independently and with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team in a fast paced team-oriented work environment
Solid time-management and follow-through skills
Quality-oriented and organized
Positive and energetic attitude
Self-motivated; strong initiative
