[Company] is currently seeking a BIS Training and Communications Specialist for the Redmond location. The BIS Communications and Training Specialist is responsible for delivering the communications and training output of Business Information Services. Reporting to the User Experience Leader, the role involves the design, composition and publication of materials that help our users to get the most out of our technology services, and achieve efficiencies in their everyday work. As our primary communicator, you will ensure that our messaging is interesting, to-the-point , visually exciting and very informative.
Communicate with our people, emphasizing abilities, functionality and the human connection rather than the technology.
Ensure that our people receive useful technology and support services information in an effective and timely way.
Help reduce “noise” i.e. an excess of technology/systems-related information in our user’s daily activities.
Help to promote learning and improved adoption of the technologies and services we provide.
Promote the Help Desk as a central point of contact for all technology and systems-related support and information.
Align our messaging with Global Communications policy, practice and protocol.
Provide a 360 view of all technology service-related communications, so that we can better assess the volume and intensity of tech-related communication throughout the organization.
Help BIS personnel to communicate consistently and professionally with their users and peers.
Involve our colleagues from all disciplines in the conversation about our technology services.

Job Requirements:

The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
A primary degree in the humanities, or proven experience in a communications role.
1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
Effective project coordination skills and the ability to work with diverse project teams.
Leading visual design sensibility and skills.
Excellent ability to communicate with diverse stakeholder groups.
Effective time-management and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint 2007/2010, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator).
