[Company] is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our Construction Management team in the New Jersey Area. This individual will provide oversight and coordinate closely with clients, consultants and contractors regarding construction activities, job progress, quality verification, procurement, estimating, scheduling, planning and field oversight.
Successful candidate will have 8-15 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Program Manager, Field Engineer or Superintendent. Candidate must have experience managing laboratory or clean room construction as well as general commercial construction. Project experience must include at least one of the following project types:
Pharmaceutical Laboratories
Biotech Laboratories
Food & Beverage Laboratories
Clean Room Facilities
The primary focus of this position is to serve as an Owners Representative or Program Manager based fulltime at a client facility in Central New Jersey.


Interface with the clients managers, end users and procurement staff
Develop project scopes
Solicit proposals for required work and work with the clients procurement staff to award contracts and purchase orders
Review and process submittals, change requests, payment applications, RFI’s, etc.
Review schedules and cost reports regularly to ensure timely completion and efficient use of resources
Lead and attend meetings as required. Maintain accurate minutes.
Maintain project records and files.
Provide updates and report to PDC Manager on a weekly basis with regard to construction costs and/or project status.
Complete building permit applications and interface with local authorities for required project inspections.


Successful Program/Project Managers are team-oriented and highly motivated.
Effective communicator with oversight of all aspects of your assigned projects.
Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word. (at a minimum)
Scheduling software experience preferred.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and documentation.
Proactive approach towards management.
High level of fairness, honesty and integrity.
Be able to maintain and foster positive relationships with public entities, architects/engineers, government agencies, utility owners, and company employees.
