Summary job Description:

The [Company] Sr. Manager, IT Compliance will support the [Company] cyber security / defense in depth program and is responsible for supporting solutions for effective IT regulatory compliance. Leads IT security compliance activities associated with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards (DSS), Sarbanes Oxley section 404 (SOX), (NACHA) and Texas State privacy laws.This role will primarily support IT regulatory compliance for [Company] information technology.This candidate will report to the Director of IT Regulatory Compliance and be part of the [Company] IT Risk, Security and Compliance organization.This position will be located at [Company] headquarters located in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Works on a team within the IT Risk, Security, and Compliance organization, focusing on IT Security compliance processes and initiatives, acting as the central point of contact and collaborating with other security organizations within the company in these matters.
Ensures adequate and effective IT controls exist to meet current and future security compliance requirements, such as SOX, PCI and NACHA
Interprets information security policies, standards, and other requirements as they relate to specific internal and externally hosted IT systems, and assists or oversees the implementation of information security requirements.
Coordinates the information security compliance efforts of all internal and outsourced functions to ensure that organization-wide information security compliance efforts are consistent.
Manages a small team within the [Company] IT compliance organization, focusing on IT security and compliance projects and initiatives acting as the central point of contact and collaborating with other security organizations within the company in these matters.
Support Internal Audit activities and remediation requirements.
Drives security awareness activities for [Company] resources including security training for new hires as part of new employee orientation
Manage the information protection and privacy program
Maintain processes to control and manage data identified by DLP controls and tools

Relationships

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of value drivers for [Company] business units in order to inspire and achieve innovative value creation strategies.
Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with groups involved with information security and compliance matters such as the Legal Department, Internal Audit Department, Physical Security Department, Information Technology Department, Information Security Councils, HR and all outsourced IT organizations.
Possess the relationship skills, cultural awareness, and organizational prowess required to work effectively in a large, highly-matrixed organization. Capable of delivering results through a position of influence, not authority.
Attends conferences, professional association meetings, and technical symposia to remain aware and stay abreast of the latest information security technological developments as well as regulations and changes in the regulatory environment.
Maintain industry relationships and look to all sources available to develop the best technology strategies

Communication

Adept at communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences with varying skills sets.
Communication skills are critical. Must be able to communicate with the technology providers as well as with business leaders. An ability to understand the technical details and communicate the essentials at a high level is essential

Required Qualifications

Minimum 7-10 years of experience is required and a Bachelors degree in technical related field or additional related experience.
Strong understanding of infrastructure, application and security appliance functionality using strong security practices, controls, and documentation
Written and verbal communication skills are critical. Must be able to communicate to diverse audiences with varying skill sets. An ability to understand the technical details and communicate the essentials at a high level is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Broad, in-depth technical knowledge of security principles and process, audit methodology and assurance practices
Proven, broad, in-depth IT Project Management and IT Operational Management experience
Professional certification(s) a plus (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.).
Experience managing a team of onshore and offshore resources.
Advanced technical capabilities in a wide array of platforms and systems (e.g., Windows, UNIX, SQL,).
In-depth experience with IT audit/assessment/examination; SAS 70 practices; ITIL; ISO-27002/17799; NIST Cyber Security, CobiT and Industry standard application development methodologies
Demonstrated experience teaming with business and IT stakeholders teaming on projects to deliver world class results
In-depth internal control knowledge of core IT technologies and processes (e.g., network systems, operating systems databases, change control tools and processes, computer system operations, application and system development, help desk and monitoring, information security, data backup/retention/recovery, IT vendor management, asset management, disaster recovery, etc.)
Experience in IT Internal Audit.
