In this position, you will be contributing to a technical team of geologists, hydrologists, geochemists, engineers, and GIS analysts. As part of the team, we will be counting on you to provide technical support with data collection, map production and figure development, GIS analysis, geodatabase and database development, toolbar customization, add-in applications, and contributing to the scientific approaches that we develop and deliver.

We are based in Austin, Texas, with seven domestic offices in the United States, as well as two offices in Europe (France and Switzerland). This position is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where we have an office of over 25 people. In Albuquerque, we work on projects for water utilities, state and federal agencies, mining companies, as well as local government agencies and private businesses.

Required Education and Skills

A Bachelor’s degree in geosciences, hydrogeology, geography, or related field
Familiarity with ESRI GIS products (ArcGIS and extensions, ArcGIS Server, Arc SDE)
Database, development, querying and analysis (MS Access and SQL Server)
Scripting/programming in Python, ModelBuilder, or similar
Fantastic writing skills and the ability to deliver captivating presentations
The ability to work independently to complete technical work
The ability to travel to project sites or meetings, including a few weeks at a time

Desired Education and Skills

ESRI Desktop certification
Professional registration as a geologist or hydrogeologist
Computer programming skills
Ability to speak and write in more than one language
